Refund policy

Return and Refund Policy

Every order is freshly prepared in our London kitchen on the morning of your event, so our policy works a little differently to a typical shop.

Before we approve your order

When you place an order, we take your card details to hold the date, but nothing is charged. We review every order before we confirm it. If you change your mind before we approve your order, simply reply to your order email and we will release the hold. Nothing will have left your account.

After your order is approved

Once we have confirmed your order and begun preparing it, we are buying fresh ingredients and committing kitchen time specifically for you. Because of this, our cancellation terms apply once an order is approved: cancellations made more than 48 hours before delivery receive a full refund, and cancellations inside 48 hours are charged in full. Please give us as much notice as you can and we will always do our best to help.

Why fresh food cannot be returned

For food safety and hygiene reasons, canapés cannot be returned or exchanged once they have been delivered. This does not affect your legal rights. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, perishable goods and items made to your order are not covered by the standard 14 day cancellation right.

If something is not right

Your enjoyment matters to us. If your order arrives damaged, incomplete, or not as it should be, contact us at enquiries@mayfaircatering.com within 24 hours of delivery, with a photograph where you can. We will look into it straight away and put it right, whether that means a remake, a partial refund, or a full refund depending on the issue.

Refunds

Where a refund is due, we process it to your original card within 5 to 10 working days. It may take a little longer for your bank to show the funds.
