There is a particular pleasure in beginning something new, and so it is with genuine excitement that we can finally say City Canapé Company is open.
We are a canapé delivery service based in the heart of Central London, working from our kitchen in Clerkenwell. Every canapé is finished by hand and delivered to you chilled and ready to serve, so that on the day itself there is nothing left to do but arrange them and welcome your guests.
Whilst the name is new, the experience behind it is not. City Canapé Company is the canapé arm of Mayfair Catering, a family firm that has looked after London events for more than twenty-five years. What we have done is take that quarter of a century of craft and turn it towards one thing alone, the canapé, made properly and delivered direct.
The idea is a simple one. Good canapés should not be difficult to come by. Too often they are either an afterthought at the end of a larger catering bill, or a compromise pulled from a supermarket shelf. We wanted to offer a third option, a considered range of canapés that you can order on their own, in the quantity you need, without a full catering contract attached.
Ordering is straightforward. Canapés are sold in sets of twenty, with a minimum order of £150, and we deliver across Central London by cargo bike. You choose your date and time at checkout, and we bring everything to your door, chilled and ready.
Over the coming weeks we will use this page to share what we are working on, from the thinking behind the menu to a look inside the kitchen. For now, we are simply glad to be open, and we would be delighted to be part of your next gathering.
